Trees For the Future, is a registered 501(c)(3) non-profit organization and its mission is to improve the livelihoods of impoverished farmers by revitalizing degraded lands. It has a vision that sees a world where every farmer has a Forest Garden on their land as a reliable source of nutrition and income. This reality would create an environmentally-friendly and sustainable global food system.
TREES is on a mission to provide smallholder farmers with pathways out of poverty and hunger by planting trees in Forest Gardens around the world. By 2025, their goal is to bring 1 million people out of hunger and poverty by establishing 125,000 Forest Gardens.
TREES fits perfectly for Smiling Rocks to work on its Carbon For Carbon Campaign. We are in the mission to have zero carbon footprint for our consumers. We hope to plant as much trees as possible with TREES to achieve this goal. Today, Smiling Rocks has supported TREES to plant 20,000 trees across their projects in East and West Africa (Kenya, Uganda, Tanzania, Cameroon, and Senegal).
